Although I applaud Lyft for stepping up, I would be concerned that accepting the offer outs you to a driver who is a complete stranger. That could be dangerous.

Good for Lyft even though it promotes goodwill towards them.
I do have a question though. When Kansas takes the license and birth certificate of trans people, can they get a new BC DL with the wrong gender or are trans people that loose their license banned from getting new ones?
Either way it's a horrible law, even at best I can imagine that when the gender on the ID doesn't match the person standing there then I can see voter restrictions. Also every time they have to show their ID it opens them up to transphobia and bigotry.
Every time I think of a new interaction where the trans person has to show their ID I can see things going poorly. This is a best result it could probably get much worse.

If I understand correctly, when the license has the "wrong" birth sex marker it can be replaced with the "correct" birth sex marker. Cost is reduced to $6 for the replacement license.
