The desert in bloom is always beautiful to me. Some cacti have beautiful flowers. But these are wildflowers, which are not as common without the right conditions.

I had been to Death Valley in early March some 20 years ago.  I was amazed at how many things were in bloom, truly Amazed.  If you like camping, February/March is the best time to visit death Vally.  Before the heat sets in.  Be warned, it can get cold at night.
