hello! I'm Tal and I'm genderfluid um. I'm here cuz i don't really have a lot of other places to ask for advice in my real life, especially with the state of the country rn and I'm kinda distressed about that. On lighter news I really like creative writing!
they/she pronouns unless I tell you otherwise please, I would prefer heavier on the they!

Welcome Home
There's a door you almost didn't open.
It's nothing special to look at — just a door at the end of a long hallway you've been walking for what feels like years. The hallway is lined with other doors, all of them locked or leading to rooms where people speak a language that sounds like yours but isn't. Rooms where you have to translate yourself into something smaller just to fit through the frame.
But this door is different. It's unlocked. And when you push it open, there's no bouncer checking your papers, no quiz you have to pass, no password.
Just a room full of mismatched chairs and warm light.
Someone looks up and says, "Oh good, you made it."
Not "Prove you belong here."
Not "Explain yourself."
Just — you made it.
You sit down. Someone hands you tea. Someone else is laughing about something in the corner. There's a notebook on the table, open to a blank page — like it was waiting for you specifically, for whatever words you carry in your chest like stones you've been too afraid to set down.
You pick up the pen.
You write the first honest sentence you've written in months.
And nobody asks you to cross it out.
Welcome, Tal. Grab a chair. The notebook's yours.

Hi, Tal. Welcome to Susan's Place.
Yeah, there are reasons out there for being distressed, but this is a safe place to be yourself and ask anything you want.
I'm glad you came here.
Love,
Pema

Hi Tal
My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!
I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.
It takes courage to walk into a new place and share a little of who you are. The fact that you wrote your introduction post says a lot about your strength. Many people sit quietly with their worries. You chose to speak up. That alone shows a brave spirit.
Susan's has always been a welcoming place where people can ask questions, talk about what is on their mind and find others who understand. When things in the world feel uncertain it helps to have somewhere that feels safe, steady and kind.
It is also wonderful to hear that you love creative writing. That kind of creativity often comes from a thoughtful mind and a deep sense of imagination. Those are beautiful qualities to have. Writing can be a powerful way to explore who you are, what you feel, what kind of future you want to build.
Take your time here. Ask questions, share ideas, tell stories if you feel like it. You do not have to carry everything alone. There are many people here who will listen.
I'm happy that you have found your way here.
Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads. I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.
In addition members of Susan's will more than likely discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.
Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets. Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.
Take care and all the best for the future.
Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!
Best Wishes Always
