Yep, the sort of people who are susceptible to the trans haters are the daily mail and Express readership, who also tend to watch GB news for that matter. How that station is still alowed to broadcast their hateful bile each day is beyond me.

It's beyond me too, I completely dislike the GB News channel, they are full of hatred etc...

The Telegraph is another news source that I dislike also, they seem to sadly have hatred for trans people, trans women especially

Oh I don't doubt it happened Danielle. She was obviously a troubled soul. But the uk media have seized upon it. Instead of reporting about the shameful denial of care, human rights abuses and outright persecution of trans people. The only trans stories that seem to make the press now are ones that portray us all as as rapists and psychopaths, is it any wonder the public are turning against us as a group.

I think all of these stories, with their similarities across the UK and USA point to one thing; the complete disregard of mental health medicine. Trans or not, if people have unmanaged mental health issues  they can become a danger. Yet everyone criticises, but are not interested in supporting the solution. I believe NHS mental health funding may be cut again soon. Front row seats to watch human devolution. Enjoy.

What appears to be another large concern is not effectively treating mental issues of the homeless and drug addicts.

True, many people do not want treatment.  It is a so sad to hear of people who get addicted.

I pray society can get effective solutions for this, to help all with mental issues.

Mental health in the uk is dangerously underfunded and ignored in my view. I don't understand why.

I suspect because for a large part of UK society, there's still the "Stiff upper lip" mentality. It's not the done thing to admit there's a problem, much less to seek treatment for it. And it becomes seen as a luxury rather than a necessity.

You could be right, I used to bottle everything up and I think most people do the same in the UK because of that mindset. I wonder how our suicide rates compare with countries that are more open to talking about these things.

The anti trans movement LOVE these types of stories and they have a field day with it. Each time someone does something bad in this world (out of billions of people) and it ends up making the news, the headline never highlights the person's gender identity if they are cis gender. Never.

So there are thousands of newsworthy "events" daily all across the world. Some events are due to people doing bad things. It's an endless flow of news and bad news.

But just let ONE of those stories include a transgender person and that becomes the headline and the focus of the story. It's a no win situation for the transgender community.

It's a combination of propaganda and clickbait.

You can always tell by crossing out the word "transgender" and seeing if the story still makes sense. If it does, they added the word to suit their needs.

The headline is a prime example:

It still makes sense.

Maybe we should make our own news channel where we prefix every crime with "cis man/women does X" and see how that goes down. Maybe then people would see the complete stupidity and hypocrisy of prefixing gender descriptors to news. All I can say is we'd never be short of stories.

True. It seems like if there's a few mentally ill trans women and trans men, people assume all trans people are the same. Ridiculous really, it's not like all cis people are mentally ill also, and people need to realize that not all trans people are either.

And the news channel should, ideally, not even have the word "trans" in its name. It should present as just another news channel but every story will include cis gender or trans gender every single time a person is named in a headline. It will become very obvious quickly that the vast majority of crime is committed by cis gender people. Yes I know trans people make up a small percentage so they should only make up a small percent of crime... but it needs to be highlight because right now it feels like 100% of crimes of transgender people include their identity and zero percent of crimes of cis gender include their identity. It's really starting to bug me.

Feels like a witch hunt.
