Would you pay extra for more leg room or a premium seat on a flight?
What would be a reasonable extra fee for these things?
I would likely do this only for a long flight, which let us say, is a flight where a meal is served - not simply a snack and beverages.

I try to book the wing door seats as you usually get a bit extra room there anyway.

I've done this on my flight back from Thailand after my GRS as think I'll need the extra comfort. It's about £80 seat to get extra space.

It's a requirement for me. I'm 6ft 1in tall. If I don't have adequate legroom, flights are torture on my knees.

Depends on the length of the flight. Also, first class is amazing

I don't fly. I don't want to pay money for someone else to control where I'm going. If I can't drive there, I have to wonder if I really need to go at all.
My last flight was coming back from Germany in 1985. I did enough transAtlantic flights to hold me over for a few more years.
I am almost six feet tall, but I have never had an issue with legroom. I guess if you can sleep in a tank for a decade, you can sleep anywhere.

I have fairly short legs. I would not waste money on leg room.

I usually book an aisle seat on longer flights. Easier to get up and stretch, use the restroom, and on red eyes I can stretch my legs into the aisle. (Also 6')
I did fly first class from Nevada to Peru last April. That was pretty damn nice. And the food in the first class lounge during the layover in Miami was awesome. I was kind of disappointed that I didn't have a layover on the way back.
- How long is trip is?
- How much more extra space and any other perks?
- How much is the extra cost?

I will when it is a long flight across the Pacific o Atlantic. Especially if it overnight. When I flew frequently for business, I would get the extra leg room as a benefit on UA. Now I have to pay :(

I was told that for long flights I could get extra fees paid for more room, or business class or first class when I thought it made sense to do so. I mean, not for a short hop, say to Santa Clara or Palo Alto from part of the West Coast.
However, so far, because any staffer that works for me is not allowed to go business or first class without the staffer or me paying for such an upgrade, I have always taken an extra leg room premium coach seat because he or she would also not have to pay anything for those upgraded premium coach seats.
I try to avoid out of town business trips regardless.
