Title: Funny, but not so happy coming out
Post by: darksou on April 14, 2026, 03:18:23 PM
In my workplace, someone else noticed I had the nonbinary pin on my shirt and asked me about it. I calmly told her that it is the nonbinary flag and answered a few questions related to that.

She initially seemed to be just curious and then eventually her questions got weird (she asked me if I had a mother and a father). In the end, she told me to read the Bible because this isn't the path God wants for me and all that. I ended the conversation right there because I wasn't in the mood for that.

The funny part of this whole event? She called me a smart young man while telling me all that. This is funny because I was actually assigned female at birth.

We have been working for more than a year together and she still can't tell.

What a nerve. I can't stand self righteous people like that. So arrogant in their belief that they have to be rude and hurtful to make you conform to their interpretation of their beliefs.

They are no more right about religion then a Hindo, a Bhuddist, a Jew, a Muslin, a Sikh, hell, a Pagan come to think of it. They need to learn a bit of tolerance in their bitter twisted world. I would blank her from now on if I were you. She would get the cold hard stare off me everytime I saw her after that!

My brother told me something similar. He said I was an abomination in the eyes of God.

I told him I understand why he feels that way, but he has no authority to speak for God.

We haven't spoken since then. I don't miss him. Life is too short to be surrounded by negativity. If he wants to apologize, he has my number.
