Title: Put down your phone and pet your cat!

When was the last time your phone brought you peace?
That's a rhetorical question.
That's a rhetorical question.
Here's the scenario. You're winding down in bed, wearing something cute and comfy, scrolling away on your phone. But you can't fall asleep. You remember your doc saying that phone use at bedtime disrupts your sleep. Maybe she has a point. After all, when was the last time your phone brought you peace? Then you notice Fluffy curled up on the bed. Looking at you with her loving eyes. Hoping for some attention. You put your phone down and pet your cat. You're sound asleep in five minutes.
That glowing rectangle is like a drug. It's now off-limits at bedtime. Your TV is too. What are YOU going to replace it with.
Personally, I'm fond of Fluffy. Cats bring me peace.

I usually just fall asleep... sleep seems to come easy for me and I am so grateful!

Work absolutely takes every bit of my energy. I'm asleep in minutes when I go to bed. My cat annoys me as she wants petting when I need to sleep and meows me awake!

I don't really use my phone much when I'm in the house. I like to pet my cat until she goes psycho and attacks! I like it in the morning when I wake up and she's curled up next to me on the bed. It's a nice way to wake up.

I misplace my phone sometimes at home and miss messages. It's not attached to me and lays about. I'm allergic to cats but have 2 mini dachshund girls and getting a third shortly. They sleep with me every night. 💚

I don't do a lot of phone scrolling at night. I only have SP as a social media presences. I go through phases of sleeplessness and usually turn to melatonin to help.

I'm not tied to my phone, and I have no pets.
I don't sleep well, but it has nothing to do with my phone. It goes on the charger at 10 PM with the ringer off. I use the phone for messaging (calls, text, email), navigation, and banking. All other apps either get deleted or turned off, so they stop trying to update or send notifications. I have no social media accounts and use my PC to search the internet, listen to music, watch movies, etc.
That said, screen time before bed (on a phone or computer) is known to disrupt sleep, so the underlying message of this thread is a good one.
