Hi, I'm Nikki. Southwestern US. Late 30s trans woman with an intersex condition I'd rather not delve into. I've been medically transitioning since 2024.
I'm losing my real life trans friend group soon, they're moving pretty far away and I'm going to be isolated which is hard at this age. I've made some friends on other websites but it's not the same and most of them are mid 20 somethings I don't really mesh well with. I'm computer dumb and these old Phbb style boards make a lot more sense to me than ->-bleeped-<- and sitting on /tttt/ all day is just giving me Dysphoria in ways I've never felt or dreamed was possible before so I'm hoping that maybe this place will be a good fit for me.
I've heard whispers of a Susan's place for a very long time now from older trans women but it's usually connected to something negative so I never bothered looking the place up. I haven't seen anything bad lurking around so I figured I'd give it a shot. If it doesn't work it'll just be another trans space I don't fit in lol.
I discovered myself in Second Life a very long time ago and miss those communities we had back in the early 2010s but all of those spaces and people are long gone now.
I play a lot of video games on PC and am otherwise a fairly boring married late 30s girl.
Anyway looking forward to meeting some people more my age and chatting. 😁

Thanks, Nikki, for a most intriguing introduction.
I've been here for just over a year and found the entire forum supportive and welcoming. I trust you will, too.

This is a friendly place, I have no idea why people would speak ill of it.
I look forward to getting to know you and more about you. I agree, the old message board format is soooo much better!
Second Life? Crikey that takes me back some! ha ha! I dabbled in that for a while myself. It was a great idea.
I was a big pc gamer for decades but built my last rig about 7 years ago. It's getting too expensive to keep up with the tech advances these days. I am thinking of getting a console again though. There are a few gamers on here, I'm sure they'll announce their presence soon.
Age wise I've just turned 50 this year so a bit out your age range but there are younger souls around than this old fart!
Anyhoo, welcome and glad to have you with us!
