I mostly don't pay attention to sports but I feel like CIS women aren't expected to care about Sports. I used to pretend to care about them I would watch project runway or what ever and then the next day read news articles about what ever sporting event the world seemed obsessed with so it looked like I knew what happened.

So for me, I will not miss the expectation that I like sports, I don't!

I'm perfectly happy to follow the stereotype of women not liking sport. It bores me silly! I never really pretended to like anything that I didn't. In fairness I'm happy to engage with things I'm not interested in whilst in group conversation, but certainly would never pretend i was into something I wasn't.

WOW I never would have guessed those stats. I have no interest in sports but to each their own.

I felt like my posts are my world is ending type so I wanted to post a fun question that I think about. Another thing I won't miss is buying men's clothes because I have to have some. LOL I have 1 pair of sneakers and that's it. Don't ask about my women's shoes, I think I bought so many cause... I wanted them.

The only men's clothes I still have are the ones I wear for mining because they are more durable. I would be very upset if I ripped or stained my nice clothes.

Also, heavy winter gear: boots, flannel-lined jeans, heavy coat, snowmobile suit, insulated chest waders, etc. I don't need them very often anymore, so they're unlikely to wear out anytime soon.

I still have my Army field jacket, the only item of male clothing I kept. I wear it on November 11th every year.

The way guys want to game rules of competition.
Just let me know what you guys decide while I do something useful.

I'm not sure if the US quite has this but Laddish behaviour. You can see it in the way some football fans are at the world cup.

I hate it. I hate the jumping up and down and getting shoved about in celebration, I hate all the loutish singing. I hate being in a bar listening to the derogatory comments roll in when an attractive woman walks past. I hate the fact you can't talk about personal stuff or feelings etc. As I no longer have any male friends this has totally gone from my life and I am delighted about that!

Sports wise. I have definitely lost the keen interest I once had in sport but it hasn't been a concious decision to pull away from it. I will allways care about my hometown football club, it's not optional when you are born here. But I am less inclined to stay interested for a whole match now. I'm just as happy to watch the highlights. Other sports just do not have the appeal they once had.

I will just answer the question in relation to sports, while I think about the original question "What are you most excited about not having to pretend to like?"

As they say, "each to their own" and that applies to many other facets of life.

As for me, I guess I can take sport or leave it.  The only exception is swimming, hands down.  But then I guess with my passion for swimming that is understandable.  Of course it is pretty much an individual sport.

I have never loved the "rugby games" and I avoided those types of games like the plague.  I guess I had an inherent fear of being hurt.  I do have to admit that I like seeing the tries in the game.  Then again on the other hand I tend to say, "You might as well put them all in a boxing ring."

Gridiron?  Too slow.  Every minute they stop the game.  Then again I do not mind watching the touchdowns.

Cricket? Too slow and definitely boring, especially five day test matches. This is torture at its best and worse than "watching paint dry". Give me one day cricket matches

No, I have never really got into NBL, MLB or similar games either.  I guess I have too many other things on my plate.

I suppose on quieter days I have watched golf and I do not mind watching it.  I watched the Grand Prix motorcycle racing for several years, particularly during the era when riders such as Wayne Rainey, Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Gardner and Mick Doohan were competing.  I suppose that was an aberration on my part and I do not know why I watched it as assiduously as I did.

So overall I am not really into sports.  I can watch some of them from time to time and there are aspects of certain sports that I enjoy.  However, I have never been what one would call a sports fanatic and I certainly have never felt the need to follow every game, team or player.

Which brings me back to the original question: "What are you most excited about not having to pretend to like?" To be honest, I cannot think of very much.  I have never been one to follow the crowd simply because everyone else was doing so.  I tend to make up my own mind, weigh things up and decide for myself.  That applies to sports, music, hobbies and most other things in life.  Call me stubborn or an individual if you like, but pretending to like something just to fit in has never really been my style.

If I like something, I like it.  If I do not, I do not.

I do not think I am excited to not have to pretend to like or dislike anything in particular.

I like it or not or somewhere in between.  That is it.  It is not a conforming thing.

Now I do wish to be treated as a woman and if someone thinks of me liking or not liking something is incongruent to being a woman, that is on him or her, not me! 

I am grateful for everyday I don't have to "pretend" to like anything. If I don't like something or someone, then that's it. No if's or buts. No sugar coating.

Unfortunately I have to pretend I like my job. Secretly it pisses me off with all the hierarchy and everyone trying to be in charge.

It's a means to an end goal which happens at the very end next month with my trip to Thailand!

My career will change in 2027 for sure. 😁

I thought about and realized that I never pretended. I was never one of the guys and never wanted to be. I didn't pretend to like men's clothes. I really didn't care. The one sport I watched before I still watch now. 

I have always had sensitive friends and spent holidays in the kitchen with lots of women. I despised the whole men/sports/TV thing. 

Being myself was the only choice I saw until I realized I might be trans. That was harder. Until it wasn't. 

Not very interested, I follow 2 rubbish football teams Blackpool and West Ham who once again had dismal seasons. I was utterly useless at sports at school but somehow scored a try at Rugby, the highlight of my school achievements. I was worse at cricket and allowed to bowl under arm.

Bro talk. I never liked it. I hate mysogyny, racist and anti queer talk especially when there is a pile on.

I've been told by my wife I need to get some male friends, other women friends have suggested men's sheds.

Why? I don't really like male company generally

I used to have a group of female friends. I think one of the things I will no miss is that feeling of being an outsider in every group. Having this huge secret that I have hidden my entire life has made me feel like an outsider in every situation.
