I have my orchiectomy scheduled for the end of September. I've done plenty of research on the procedure itself and the recovery, but I'd love to hear anyone's own experiences they feel like sharing. Also, for those living in the US, what was the insurance process like?

I documented my orchi process with Dr Oates in Boston back in 2017. There were pictures, but the image hosting sites went away or decided to start charging money. I'll see if I can rustle them up. In any event, a lot of people shared their costs and experiences in the thread.

When I had my orchi in 2010, I had to pay $1400, and that was it. It had something to do with state medical insurance, I think. I'm just going to throw this in there: Frozen peas are your friend. Words to live by. Not gonna eat them, though.
