Erika Kirk, the widow of slain MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk, urged members of her young conservatives organization Turning Point USA (TPUSA) to fight against transgender people, Muslims, and people who swear.
While speaking to members at her organization's Chapter Leadership Summit in D.C. last weekend, Kirk said, "We are on enemy-occupied territory. And the devil would love nothing more than to be in the middle of your head, to dictate your fear, to dictate whether or not you continue forward having a chapter, to dictate if you're scared," The Advocate reported.
"Every day when you make the choice to fight again, not just for my husband, but for yourself and for your family, you are standing up against evil and declaring to the heavens on high that again, this world will never break you and that you are allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you in a way that will just make the enemy cower," she said.
"So, I don't care if it's a trans, if it's a gender-confused person, if it's a Muslim, if it's whoever else that's standing in front of you, that's spitting on you, that's cussing at you, that's throwing your buttons everywhere, I don't care. You are what? You are what Charlie always said. You are what? You are a happy warrior," she continued.
TPUSA has long been aligned with the president and MAGA. Its Christian Nationalist political ideology opposes transgender people, immigrants, and non-Christians.

These people are completely psychotic. They also love to run their mouths. Do they honestly think that we will just bow our heads and let them take us away? I'll tell you right now that I WILL NOT let that happen to me. Nope.

A MAGA spokesperson uses her First Amendment right to encourage "fighting" against other people with First Amendment rights.
Since the Holy Spirit is God, it will never work through someone with such intent.
"Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword." ~ Matthew 26:52

Hi Everyone
Normally I don't reply to these news posts and this one has has offended my sense of decency. So:
There is something deeply troubling about invoking Christianity while encouraging people to treat Muslims, transgender people or anyone else as enemies in a spiritual war. Christianity is not supposed to be a weapon for dividing humanity into those who deserve compassion and those who deserve condemnation.
Jesus made the central obligation of faith unmistakably clear in Matthew 22:37-39:
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
The same teaching appears in Mark 12:30-31:
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."
This command did not begin in the New Testament. Its foundation appears in Leviticus 19:18:
"Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord."
These passages do not say to love only the people who share your religion, politics, identity or understanding of the world. They do not permit Christians to turn Muslims or transgender people into symbols of evil. They command believers to love their neighbours as themselves.
A person cannot credibly preach the love of Christ while encouraging fear, hostility and suspicion toward entire groups of people. Calling such hostility spiritual warfare does not transform it into righteousness. Quoting the Holy Spirit does not excuse ignoring the commandments attributed to Jesus.
Faith should call people toward humility, mercy and love. It should not be used to provide religious cover for prejudice.
Erika publicly identifies as a Christian. Her words do not reflect the teachings she claims to follow. So I have one word for her, that describes her:
Best Wishes Always
