Hello all you lovely people. Been dressing on and off since my mid-teens, gone through countless purges, and now that i am retired, i find myself drawn even more to my feminine side. Being married makes it more difficult to enjoy dressing but i make the best of the monents i get. Looking to connect with others and maybe share experiences, stories and tricks.

While I can be fun to wear fantasy outfits, it can leave a very bad impression to be seen wearing something in poor taste.

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.

It sounds like your feminine side has been part of you for many years and I am glad you have found a place where you can connect with others who understand some of those feelings and experiences.

The purges, the limited opportunities to dress and the challenge of balancing self-expression within a marriage are experiences that many here will recognise.  You are certainly not alone.  I hope being part of this community gives you a safe space to share, learn and enjoy those moments when you can express yourself.

As Lori mentioned, the Cross dresser Talk section is a good place to visit for advice, ideas and shared experiences.  You may find plenty of useful tips there from others who understand the journey.

Black and white feminine clothes can look beautiful and elegant.  Wear them if that is what you like and they suit you.  There is no need to change your style unless you feel curious about trying something different.  The most important thing is that your clothes help you feel comfortable, confident and feminine.

You are never too old to pursue the dreams that reside inside you.  Retirement may even give you more opportunities to explore this part of yourself in ways that feel right for you.

It is lovely to meet you and I look forward to hearing more about your journey.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Let's see what more I can share about myself... Always felt a strong pull/urge to explore my feminine side, so much so that I was for the longest time unsure of my own orientation. I felt the attraction to the fairest gender as well as the pull to share in it. Needless to say that this created some issues in my early relationships. So I learned to separate my feelings, being the professional and dependable MALE by day while retreating to a more adventurous FEMME persona at night, venturing out to parks or just for quiet walks. I quickly discovered that I found the attention I would receive to be highly intoxicating, leading me to take more risks in my early adult life.

PS... Don't hesitate to ask me questions. I am at a point in my life where I have nothing to hide, understanding that some questions may, in fact, allow me to better see myself as I was then, and who I am now.

Welcome. I think many of us feel loneliness or feel lost because we have so many conflicting emotions going on inside and often we cannot share it with the people closest to us. That can feel very isolating.
I'm fortunate that my wife knows everything about me and I've outright used the term "trans" several times recently and she hasn't freaked out. She's not thrilled either but just telling her that I'm trans and I want to be a woman has removed some weight off my shoulders. But not everyone has that situation where they can share. Some girls are married and their spouse doesn't even have a clue. That's a tough situation to be in.

I hope your gender journey brings you much joy.

My journey is ongoing. Love my wife but she made it clear that she wants to be with a man, so my dressing and exploring my fem side, desires and urges have to wait until I am alone. The last thing I want to do is hurt her, so I accept that she comes first before Sabriana.

I am in a similar situation and it is definitely a weight off ones shoulders.

My wife is like yours in that she doesn't want me to change.

But I can't stop how I'm feeling and I have made quite a few changes to my appearance.
