I really don't, but you can convince me to have the occasional sausage, egg, and cheese ones from Dunkin. If only there were more DD's here. 😭

I have heard that this restaurant started with the name of "Open Kettle" back in 1948.

Croissants! Yes!
With Fig jam/marmalade.
Or with scrambled eggs, for breakfast. Sounds weird but is very good.

If you take a refrigerated roll (or tube) of the PILLSBURY croissants and NOT separate the dough, you can make a loaf of bread. Put half of the roll adjacent to the other. They fuse into each other. Put the whole tube of dough next to another whole tube of dough and you get a longer loaf.
You can also stuff them with meat, cheese, etc. as desired. Before you stick the rolls in the oven you can slice inside the roll to add pizza sauce, meat, and cheese. Then cook.
Tasting Table has an article about this online, search for it if interested.

Chrissy, I live within a thousand
miles of French people. If I bought
a tube of croissant they'd send
out a goon squad! 🤣

I like them plain, if they are good. They can almost melt on your mouth.
Probably like 500 kCalorie for a large one though.

Avoid supermarket ones like the plague. Freshly baked from an artisan baker is the only way for croissants. Night and day difference.
Actually, Lidl's croissants from their bakery are actually OK and so are the co-op ones.

I'm on a diet though so croissants are definitely off the menu for me right now.

I noticed that a national wholesale club in the USA sells stuffed frozen croissants. Ham and Swiss cheese I believe.
