Trump admin lowers standards to hire FBI agents who had sex with animals

The FBI quietly lowered its background check hiring standards back in June to allow the hiring of people who have previously stolen from an employer or engaged in acts of bestiality, CBS News reported on August 28.
The lowered standards come at a time when the FBI has lost about 2,600 employees since the start of the president's second term — more than 7% of its total workforce — due to buyouts, resignations, and firings across the Department of Justice, the news outlet noted.
Applicants who stole from their employers are still eligible for FBI employment, as long as the theft occurred over three years ago. Applicants who engaged in past acts of bestiality or animal cruelty are also eligible as long as the incidents took place before the age of 18. The new standards also allow applicants who have hired sex workers fewer than three times and over a decade ago.
An FBI spokesperson said this latter exception is "limited to a narrow set of circumstances, such as in cases where a person was sexually abused with animals as a child."
DC lawyer Mark Zaid, who has represented former FBI agents, said, "How can this not be reflective of a recruiting problem at the FBI if you are lowering your standards on issues like bestiality and prostitution?"

I've read the article and I'm at a loss for words. Considering it's coming from an administration that is targeting trans people... it gives you an insight of just how low they think trans people are. It boggles my mind
