Title: Progress once again!

Just wanted to let everyone know that things are going well once again, and wanted to catch everyone up on the progress Veronica and I are making. The glasses saga is over. Veronica returned the expensive glasses and bought me the inexpensive pair you see here. She also bought me the green mock turtleneck in the picture as well. She is really trying to understand, and has been very helpful in giving me some private time to dress. I did the other day and took this quick pic. Veronica never liked the old picture, so I thought I would change it to this one. This is more what I really look like. In an effort to make a fresh start, I think I would also like to simplify my name as well to just Lisa, but am not sure how to go about that here. Maybe someone out there may know. Anyway, thank you everyone for your continued support. It is nice to know there is a place where I can be myself. It means so much to me.
Love,
Lisa

Lisa,
I'm glad things are smoothing out for you both. The glasses are fine--they serve their purpose, look good, and you didn't have to finance them-- a winner I'd say :) Your new photo is attractive as well. It's quite a gesture for Veronica to help you shop, and thoughtful of you to take a picture that she would feel more comfortable with. Continued blessings on your journeys....

Thanks Kimberly,
So there's already a Lisa. Shucks! I guess I will just stick with Lisabeth for now. Sometimes it's just nice to have a fresh start, with no baggage, if you know what I mean.

Hello Lisa.
I'm so happy that life seems to be back on track. As you both have discovered all it takes is communication, a little give and take and lots of understanding, simple huh, I wish :)
Annnnnyway, you really look nice in the new picture, the hairdo suites you very well. I hope that everything continues to go well for you both but there will not doubt be other issues that crop up, as they always do, but now you seem to have the coping skills to deal with them.
Take care,
Steph

Hey Lisa,
Good to here things are getting better. I originally started with Lisa, not here this was before I joined Susan's. That lasted about two weeks. I soon realised that although I like the name Lisa I did not want to be called that for the rest of my life, it just didn't fit me. Cassandra however is a perfect fit it also goes well with Anna. You look good. I really like your new pic and your new doo.

Hi Lisa,
I'm so happy for you. I alsothink that your new picture with your new glasses looks great.
Tell Veronica that she has an eye for style and that the green mock turtleneck is becoming on you.
It really seems to really bring out the color in your eyes.
:)

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I don't think Veronica is crazy about any picture of me en femme, but she says this one is better than the old one anyway. We continue to have ups and downs. Probably still more downs than ups. Even though she is trying to understand, at times it just seems unbearable for her. I'm just not sure if the satisfaction I get from dressing is worth all the trouble I seem to put her through. I do cherish the moments that I get to feel feminine. The time does seem to fly by too fast though. I guess only time will tell if things will get better for us, and we just have to take it one day at a time.

I am very happy to hear the news! Good going girl! nice photo!
I read somewhere that dealing with your SO is a bit like riding a pendlum. as soon as as you get to the top of the acceptiance side of the swing you are swinging back toward non acceptance. and visa versa.
Anyway you look at it you are a very lucky girl, so hang on tight and count your stars.
Best Wishes
Kate

Just trying a new pic. I'm not sure if this one is more feminine than the last one. Veronica did say she will help me take a new one at some point, but while I am waiting I thought I would try something new. Let me know if you think the other one was better. I value your opinion, so just tell me straight out. Thanks!

Hi Lisabeth,
Why would you like to change your picture? You look fantastic, I wish that I would be looking at least half so good as you do, after few years.

Okay Jillieann,
I'm putting my trust in you and changing it back. I just kind of felt like I looked like some sort of "Dear Abby". I was just looking for a more feminine look. Thanks Michelle for your input as well. I'll just wait until my wife helps me one of these days.
Thanks,
Lisa

I didn't get a chance to see the newest pic, but I can say the one with the turtleneck looks great. I find it very difficult to imagine what you would look like as male, which means you would pass very well (at least from a photographic standpoint). There are other factors like feminine movement, vibe, and voice. Since I can't see those factors with just a photo, I'll just have to go with that.
