Do you like to eat leftovers?

Chicken?

Pizza?

Any entree?

Any vegetable?

Or what?

Yes. Some food tastes better reheated. Corned beef hash, curry, hotpot etc

I like reheated chili, even from frozen.

Agreed. Anything with tomato sauce seems to be better reheated: chili, spaghetti, lasagna.

Yum. Now I'm hungry.

Fortunately, I have a piece of leftover lasagna. (Thanks, @Susan_Rose and @Jessica_Rose).

I was raised by parents who lived through wartime and postwar food rationing.  The idea of wasting food was offensive to them, and they passed that value on to me.  The only excuse for throwing out food is if it has spoiled.  If it is edible, I eat it.

We save our leftovers and combine them.  My mother used to call this "once through the fridge.  My wife and I call it "smorg" (prairie restaurant shorthand for "smorgasbord", i.e. a buffet).  Smorgs are some of our tastiest meals, as unexpected flavours blend together.

I mix my sweet peas and mashed potatoes. Often even when they are first cooked!

Is that a smorg?

It can be if you want it to be.  We use the term to refer to a combination of multiple meals.  So leftover spaghetti and leftover roast veggies and leftover peas and carrots, from three separate meals, would be a smorg.

This was how I discovered the recipe for Pineapple Upside-Down Beans with Spam Soup.

If I get pizza on the weekend, I get a big enough pizza to have lunch for work on Monday. If I grill burgers on a Sunday, I'll grill an extra one for lunch on Monday.
