GOP governor's "wildly offensive" ad brutally mocks trans girls: "What a transphobic disgrace"

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) released a shocking ad this week that blatantly mocks young trans girls who want to play sports.
The ad features a coach introducing a "new teammate" to a team of what appear to be teenage girls. The new teammate is a full-grown man who gleefully approaches the group as the girls look on in disgust. The coach in the ad claims if the team wants federal funding, the player must be on the team.
Then the ad cuts to Huckabee Sanders, who claims the Biden administration threatened to revoke millions in federal funding if the state did not allow "men" to play in women's sports. This, however, is a wild exaggeration of the policies of the Biden administration around trans inclusion in sports.
Huckabee then claims she "won the fight" against the "out-of-control left" to keep "men" out of women's sports and other women's spaces.
One X user who comments on Arkansas politics called the ad "wildly offensive" and called it the "equivalent to parodying African-Americans with blackface."
"Hate isn't funny," they wrote. "Punching down isn't Christian."
Others joined in, calling Huckabee Sanders a "transphobic disgrace" and asking her to focus on the real issues facing the state.
