First things first. Thank you to everyone here and particularly Lori, whose extensive knowledge, along with the discourse from everyone, helped me put together intelligent questions for the doc. I've been combing the topics and posts for info and it is really helpful. Thank you all.

So, I had my appointment with Herr Professor Doktor Wallaschofski yesterday in Erfurt.

I got my hormones.

I was armed with info but this is how it turned out.I am on 'Lenzetto' 1,53 mg/Sprühstoff (transdermal spray) Estradiol-Hemihydrat. I wanted injections, but it seems that isn't an option in Germany. So, I have the spray.

It is also the post-menopausal dosage. I wanted to be more aggresive, as Lori has argued, but he said that he wanted to see how my body handled it first. So my next appointment is in eight weeks.

Now, the good news is that when I asked about the bio-Prog that seems like everyone has to beg for, he said that was his standard treatment, but, again, in eight weeks. He said once a day, taken at night. I came back (typed up on my question list) with Lori's comment on the half-life and how many mistake the wrong half-life and that is could be taken 3x a day.

Lori, he said that you are correct ... but it depends on the brand. What he will give me is nightly.

So, I got back to Weimar, picked up my script and walked into the city center to celebrate at my favorite punk café/pub.

I met a girlfriend there and we celebrated from late afternoon into the early morning (ugh, my head) and I gave myself my first spray with her at the bar (she helped me figure out the device, which, I don't know why, looks like a woman's sex toy - or maybe our minds were just dirty at the moment).

I also met a couple of her friends who I didn't know, both working in the literary business and business partners. So, although still in boy mode, but more and more feminine, I am completely oout of the closet and I started to actually get kinda interested in her - it may have been mutual, she's my age. But he was treating her like doo-doo, typical dismissing her opinions and views, etc. - misogynistic. And, I can't remember the last time this happened, HE made a pass at me. Pretty strange for a self-professed "asexual." I guess that goes out the window when they get enough beers in them.

But hopefully, I can have coffee with Andrea sometime, she's aware that I am a transfrau and lesbian, helped me celebrate it, so ... maybe. Yesterday was simply a fantastic day.

And thank you everyone for helping me prepare by just being here and discussing things. It's invaluable for an information source.

Next up - the hair salon! My girlfriends are telling me that I could wear something like this, a short French Shag, and my face is still young enough to dye my hair to my original dark brown. I hope the curtian bangs would camoflage the male hairline/temples. And it looks versitile enough to switch between girl and boy modes as needed or desired. What do you girls think?

A little mousse for the femme version, more flat for the masc version.

Your doctor is right to wait on the Progesterone. Your body will need to adjust to the new hormone levels. If you start adding a bunch of stuff and you have issues, you can't tell which one caused it. Usually, they want you to start P a year after starting E.

But one dose at night eight weeks out will work. The E starts increasing the number of P receptors in the breast tissue. Then, when you start adding the P, they are "primed" and ready to go.

If all goes well, then you slowly increase the dosage for the same reasons: watch how your body reacts/adjusts to the new normal, then adjust again as needed.

I'm just in seventh heaven – also in bed. It seems last night's cold air of early Autumn hit me with a cold this afternoon. A double whammy but nothing can bring the mood down, so make myself comfy with hot tea and a cuddle blanket.

@Lori, I'll see about getting it cut next week as well as a cosmetic appointment at Douglas to figure out skin type and tone. I was thinking the same thing about mousse and flat. Flat kinda reminds me of those 90s bands, like Oasis, who were sporting retro-Mod-like cuts. Then do something like above when I go full femme.

I asked the Prof. when I should start seeing the effects, given my 60 years of testoterone influence: he doesn't seem to agree that longetivity of T means delayed and/or modest E results like I've been reading about, so, hmmmm, that's good news for me. He said first, I will feel the effects of the heart pretty soon. Then he gave the 3 month timeline to notice the beginning of physical changes. So, that stoked me. I was expecting at least 6 months to even notice a perky nipple or two.

Not sure if I mentioned it, but I also used a public women's restroom for the first time this week ... so many euphoric firsts! Wow, I have to say, the graffiti in the girl's stall of a German punk café/pub is pretty enlightening, to say the least!
