It's good to be here, and good to know there's such a nice place for support. I've been lurking around these forums for a while now, mostly the mtf section because my girlfriend is mtf. She's decided for sure that she wants to transition so I figured it was time for me to join.
I started dating her already knowing this about her, and I'm perfectly fine with it and actually really excited that she wants to go through with it because I'm a gay girl, lol. I think she's beautiful, and I want her to be happy. It won't happen for a few years yet, though, for various reasons.
I'm just wondering how much of a toll the transition takes on people. Both the SO and the person undergoing it.. Is it really stressful? Bad moments? Or does it depend on the person and the relationship? I want to make it as easy for her as possible, but knowing myself, sometimes I can get overwhelmed if there's *too much* going on at once that I have to keep track and take care of. So I guess I just want to have an idea of what to expect..? If I can prepare myself, I can handle the hard parts better. :)
Thank you so much! :D Good luck to all of you!

Hi TamTam
Welcome to Susan's. Yep this is the right kind of place; here you can find the informations you are looking for, the safety to share your concerns, the understanding of others on the same path and the support you might need along this process. As Tink would say: read and get familiar with the rules, explore the different forum and there you go.
All the best
Maebh
