From Johnson to Williston and eight stops in between the message was almost always the same. A vast majority of the Vermonters who attended the public hearings say civil unions fall far short of the full protections of marriage, and create a system that is separate but not quite equal.

Since MA implemented their gay marriage bill, the state's literacy rate has gone up and the divorce rate among straights has gone down. So much for destroying the sanctity of marriage.
Heaven forbid that should happen anywhere else in the country!
