"Science is not blasphemy, and sometimes blind faith is the real sin. The fact that science has theories that have been or will be debunked is not a weakness; the fact that science posits a hypothesis that is then open for challenge is the very root of itʼs strength. Serious questions should be raised when any idea is discussed as somehow beyond reproach, beyond question, unchallengeable. I believe that any theory or opinion that makes the people who question it somehow unethical or immoral is truly problematic."

It's because of this kinda crap from leadership that my country is dying of AIDS. Anti-retrovirals are freely available; Walk into any public bathroom and you can grab a couple of condoms for free.
It's the religious leaders that are responsible for this disaster. It's because of the stigma that they don't go and seek the medical help they need. It's because of that that people get driven from their homes. It's because of that that South Africa has over a million orphans.
Thanks Mr Bush. It's easy to preach abstinence. Not so easy to work in an AIDS hospice and see people dying because they were raped by an HIV positive person, or were born with it, or because they accidentally got given contaminated blood in by transfusion, or whatever.

Science may ALWAYS get questioned, faith, NEVER. The basic difference between the two.
