Hello Girls,
I had SRS 2 years ago now, and it was the best dicision of my life. I am so happy. No picture is ever perfect, because since my SRS my hair is seriously thinning and falling out. The pattern would be female patern baldness (FPB). I started with Estrace HRT after SRS but the hair began to fall out. Now I'm taking the stronger Estinyl and the problem seems to be worst. Does this make any sense?
My free-testosterone (T) is probably very very low with the HRT, so the problem is not excess T. Could the T be too low, does too low levels of T cause hair loss?
Does anyone have experience with this, or know of anyone that has had this problem.
Merci
Catherine

I do know bio-women who've had alopecia and hair thinning, but I don't know that they found anything that worked. Have you tried asking your GP?

I haven't asked my GP but I've seen more Endos than I care too. The problem is that there is a general lack of interest in women's hair loss. This is soooo frustrating. I know the problem is solvable, but to get someone that will care is another.

I'm on Vancouver Island, Catherine. The other side of the country. Been to Montreal twice; it's a beautiful city with fascinating history. I wish I could've made it to Quebec City last time I was in Quebec too.

my hair is also thinning. I am 3 yrs post op and I noticed that my hair is not as thick as when I was still starting hormones.
My E is in high range of female acceptable range and my T is zero point something. Could this be the hormones I am taking or something else? Im taking estradiol valerate pills (oral).

Are you stressed? Stress/anxiety isn't good for hair.

well stress is something you cannot avoid. In fact, I think I am even more stressed during pre-hrt. I am only 27 years old and my hair is thinning and brittle.
