Hi Guys,
Following my recent topic.. about my transition. I was wondering how many of you if any have got your eggs frozen? And for those of you who haven't why did you chose not to?

I KNOW beyond a doubt that I would never want to actually have a child myself. So there is no question for me. Camden

no freezing of eggs for me. don't want or need to have kids.
if something changes in the future I would adopt. but like chris said, being an uncle is enough.

No thanks. I wouldn't want to pass on my genetics to some poor unsuspecting squirt.
Someday maaaaybe I'll adopt but I'll be the first to admit I'm not really a kid person.

I think I will def. consider getting my eggs frozen before I start T. I have about a year or 2 left before i will be finacially stable for kids. But I think it would be sweet to have at least one biological child, and my fiance would carry it. For me I like the idea.

I doubt she would, most women want their own baby - care little sometimes about who the sperm donner is, but they do want the egg to be all them. Biological imperative for better or worse. And that BI is pretty strong stuff.

Wow, what an extremely sexist response.
The closest he and his partner can get to a biological child is his egg, her womb. There is always the option for two kids- one with his egg, one with hers.

Perhaps, but I know a few women, none of which would go for this. People want their kids to be 'their' kids. That's not sexist. Its biology.

I'm already engaged. My fiance and I talk about the baby thing all the time, and she is actually the one who wants to use my eggs when we have children. Maybe I lucked out with her...i dont know? I would have thought that in this situation the female in the relationship would like the idea of carrying thier ftm husband/fiance/boyfriends child. I can't wait until we get married and have kids though.

It will make for an interesting settlement when it comes to child support during the divorce hearings.

Why so negative? I wouldn't get married if i thought it would end in divorce. I was put through divorce as a kid and i would never want my child to have to go through that. I would do everything in my power to make my marriage work. And if something happened and it didnt hopefully my wife and i could be civil enough to come up with an agreement when it comes to custody and child support. I'm not a negative person and i always try to look at situations in a positive way. So basically when i get married, my wife will carry our child, by using my egg. When the child is born she will be mom and i will be dad and hopefully our marriage turns out good. If you live your life worrying about the negatives in every situation you will miss out on a lot of good things. So if you want something bad enough you have to go for it, and hope it turns out positive. if it doesnt you have to make the best of it.

I will be happy to tell you what most historians know, what all gamblers know, and what most people in physics know. BET ON THE ODDS. Most weddings end in divorce, and sooner rather than later. Bet on the odds.
