CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu government's decision to include the third gender in ration cards also paves the way for transsexuals, who have fallen off the state welfare nets because there is no official space for them to exist, to eventually write 'T' against the sex column while applying for admission to educational institutions or government hospitals.

Incidentally, the Tamil Nadu government on December 21, 2006, had issued an order offering free sex reconstruction surgery for transgenders after counselling.

No Nichole, they're just ration cards for 3rd gender people :(

If they were giving away 3rd genders, I'd be on the next plane  ;) :D
