"Look, while we all are entitled to our own opinions, and I completely respect Representative Kern's thoughts and commentary, I just can't help but to think that she should have put a little more consideration into how her comments could impact the rest of us Oklahomans, because now I have those same group of family and friends who believed Oklahoma was progressive, positive and a breath of fresh air, say it's exactly how they imagined it the first time around. My opinion: You know..... even negative publicity can backfire. This thing has spread across the country like wildfire. Could anyone imagine how beneficial this is for all of us? You need a stand up bigot to paint things the way they really are.

i can understand how you feel, Cindi, we have an immense GLBT population in columbus and the cincinnati area here in ohio and yet they are so trans and homophobic around here it isn't funny. i sure hope they do pass that bill for equal rights, and housing, etc. here in Ohio. i work at a very diverse place, but if i wanted to work somewhere like where my wife does i couldn't be the girl i am without possible consequences.
my sympathies...people should learn to think before they speak..best thing Daddy ever taught me!!! ;D

In that case, she would never say anything. As bad as the anti-gay stuff was, the whole comment, in context is absurd. Forcing two-year olds into "Government Schools" so they can be "indoctrinated" - rubbish. There are not any "Gubment Schools" for two year olds, save HeadStart perhaps, and I think they start at 3 or 4.
Matter of fact, when you be talking on BigGubment there Ms. Kerns, are you aware that you're the GUBMENT? Guess not.
And what, its like we're all sitting in some nice outdoor cafe in SanFran ordering Mu Su Pork, Mocajava drinks and a side of homosexual agenda please? Does it include redoing all government offices in a nice gray carpet with tasteful track lighting?
