"I had no place to go. This is a wonderful opportunity. They offer so
much," said Shantae, one of 10 residents in the Eric Johnson House.
The 40-year-old transsexual, who was infected with HIV at age 16 and
later battled cocaine addiction, can stay for two years while she gets
back on her feet."
