A: A client is software used to conect to a sever to enable you to access the server's channels and chat by typing to other users on a IRC server

i cannot seem to activate the chat....its far to complicated than i think is nesessery...

the (crappy) java client needs the current version of the java runtime

and the certificate popup accepted, if it shows, then it's a matter of entering nick (no spaces) and connecting to #chat or wherever
