Title: Androgynes and sex drive...

Do you think androgynes, generally, have a high or low sex drive?
I myself, despite having very low testosterone levels and a genderless androgynous identity, have a massive (but controllable) drive! :eusa_eh:
I was wondering if other androgynes had a high or low drive and if there is likely any connection to androgyny and high libido.

I can't speak for other androgynes. Myself, I do indeed have what I would consider to be a high sex drive.
But if I were pressed to offer some evidence of my claims, I could only offer anecdotal evidence. Compared to my wife, I have a high sex drive. Her sex drive is adversely affected by her asthma and the pain in her knee (which might need surgery again). So, it could be that her's is just lower than mine due to her ailments.
Still, considering how often I desire sexual interaction, I'd say I have a high drive.

How is it compared to other people, I have no clue, average maybe but in a strange way. My drive seems to have followed the path of a woman's sexual peak rather than a males.

Hmmm... seems like I just might be on to something here!
That's interesting.. Especially for an androgyne.
Heh, My drive has just been up there... for YEARS! :o

I used to have a crazy high sex drive before I started anti-androgens.
My sex drive feels different on anti-androgens and is a bit less intense. I'm much more comfortable with it now, I guess partially due to it being less testosterone dominated and partially due to being more comfortable with my body. It's still pretty high though, ROWR! >:D

When I was younger, my sex drive was very very strong. But I never much acted on it except with the one person I've been with.
At some point, the physical part of the drive dropped, but only due to prostate issues. Those issues passed, but the motor was never the same even though the mind's drive was still strong.
These days it's low. I like it better that way.
I think I've become asexual.

I have a pretty high sex drive, though it's less now that I'm on a low dose of anti-anxiety meds.
Cheers,

A little bit of one,
Yeah. I went to have an X-ray the other day, and the lady asked me, "So, is there any chance that you might be pregnant?" HA!no. Having never even had a bf (or gf, for that matter), I find that strangely unlikely...
Actually, does that make me somewhat asexual, being 21 and never having even gone out with anyone? Or just apathetic thus far? (In all honesty, I'm starting to suspect I'm too shy for my own good... :-\).

I think asexuality is more defined by your lack of sexual desire than non-practise.
I had a massive all consuming male sex drive in my teens. I could easily masturbate 3 or 4 times a day (my poor worn out old fella :embarrassed: ).
From my early 20's it has declined significantly and I like it that way. Sex for me now seems to be more about the intimacy than the satisfying of the physical need.

Is it a lack of desire or lack of partners?
A lack of desire can be the result of a lack of understanding yourself, as you become more comfortable this can change (this was my issue I think).
A lack or partners and your shyness can also be attributed to the same thing.
There is nothing wrong with how you are living, but if you want to change it, it is yours to change.
