Victoria Kolakowski, who is openly transgender, in her June 3 primary race for a seat on the Alameda County Superior Court. It is the first time the PAC has made a judicial seat endorsement.
"This is a historic opportunity to elect a highly-qualified transgender woman to the bench in Alameda County," said EQCA PAC Executive Director Geoff Kors. "Victoria will be a fair-minded judge and has proven herself as a dedicated community leader. She will adeptly serve Alameda County and help add much-needed diversity to the bench. Her election will inspire transgender youth and adults throughout the world and help educate the public about our community."
