A transsexual trucker has won a sex discrimination claim after he was forced out of his job just weeks after arriving at work dressed as a woman.

Former soldier Mike Gaynor was well-liked and respected in his trucking job in Liverpool, which he landed in October 2006.

i think the way they referred to Vickie was quite offensive as well. everyone should have realized by now that Mr. Gaynor is gone and Vickie is here now like she always was. i'm glad SHE won HER case, now if the rest of these people could get names and pronouns right, Miss Gaynor might have some semblance of a normal life, but she may have to change her last name and move to a different city now to avoid being mutilated thanks to the press. what a blatant lack of respect on their part, it makes me sick.

Yes, the use of masculine pronouns and calling her Mr was quite annoying.

Here's another article, they got the pronouns right and call her Miss Gaynor
in this one.

A TRANSSEXUAL trucker from Wirral is claiming victory on a sex discrimination claim after she was forced out of her job just weeks after arriving at work dressed as a woman.

Former soldier Mike Gaynor, 38, a pre-operative transsexual, was well-liked and respected in her trucking job in Liverpool, which she started in October 2006.
