Does everyone have a pair of earrings that are their favorite? If so, what are they? Also, how often do you wear them?

Yes, I have ear rings and I enjoy them. I have CZ studs on Silver for formal wear and Silver hoops for more relaxed wear. It makes me feel more feminine when I am wearing them but I dont wear them every day. Sometimes I cannot be bothered with them and because often one of them might fall off somehow and that means more expense to replace with a new 'pair' >:(

I have many pair of earrings, and I wear my earrings every day. There are several that are my favorites, but which earrings I wear depends on my choice of clothing. I have many different styles, some modern, some vintage. Many of my earrings have come from eBay, and many from Sundance catalog, on line. Sundance has many beautiful pieces of jewelry, and I love their dresses and skirts!!!

I just got my ears pierced a few weeks ago, so I'm just wearing the small white gold studs I was pierced
with. The girl at Claire's told me the piercing studs have to stay in for at least 6 weeks. After that, I could swap them out for something else.
When I originally got my ears done, I thought once the holes healed I might be able to leave my earrings out if there was something going on at work (conference, visitors, whatever). My experience in the weeks since is that no one really cares all that much, not even at work. I don't think I'll ever have to leave them out. I was surprised about the complete lack of concern expressed by pretty much everybody. I think I might just leave some type of earring in all the time.
I guess they're my favorites because it's the only pair I own.
In a couple more weeks, (I have two to go before I can take the piercing studs out), I might be buying some replacements, but I'm not sure what yet.

Jessica, don't pull it out until your sure the hole is fully healed,
even at night, keep it as long as you can.
I once removed it after 3 weeks and it closed up in one day!!
Had to get them pierced again!!

I got my ears peirced 3 days ago on friday. All the shops whined and whined about how stud peircing was bad for me because it pushes the ear peice back in instead of taking it out with a hollow needle so they wouldn't do it. Now I have two silver 14 gauge captive earrings uhg >_<. I'm going to have to take them out for work friday for 8 hours do they really close up that fast?

Of course you're right. I've heard of the exact same thing happening to other people.
I re-read my first post, and it's not clear at all what I meant. That's what I get for typing in a hurry. :)
I've gone back and made a few edits for the sake of clarity.

Good clip-ons are hard to find.
Where do you get yours?

Clip-ons are uncomfortable though. Really hard to wear em all day without them starting to ache. Whereas, you can't even feel pierced earrings.

Quote from: Princess on April 17, 2008, 08:36:59 PMI just had mine done. It really doesn't hurt that much. It's a sharp pinch as the earring goes in, but I've had papercuts that hurt worse. :)
i'm afraid of anything that involves pain.
The pain went away almost instantly. I don't even notice I have earrings in anymore. Even the disinfectant they give you to wash your ears with doesn't hurt or sting.

Jessica is right, they don't really hurt that much and it's just a little discomfort that will yield a lifetime of pleasure as you are able to wear any earrings you like. You can also use a local anesthetic (like the ones for gums) when you have them done and if you experience a little pain in the couple weeks of healing.
Just a thought :)

I think my current favorites are the ones my daughter gave me for Christmas. Red dangles with black and white beads on silver French hooks.

I am pierced, much prefer it that way. I tried clip on previously but found it painful due to the pressures on my lobes. Consider please this analogy, Tights or Hold-ups? I wear both kinds of hosiery , which kind depends on need etc but I find hold's up easier to put on due to disabiltity whilst tights feels nicer to wear when combined with a nice skirt etc........sorry, only females might know what this means ;)....The hold ups might slightly cut the blood supply to a very delicate area whilst tights do not.......clip-on earings clamp whilst pierced earings simply hang upon the ear.
For clarity, Tights = Pantyhose. Hold-ups = Stockings without elastication. :-*

my mom wouldn't let me pierce my ears anyway, so it's a long wait until i can make that choice.
