Title: The Little Girl Giant
Post by: Sandi on June 14, 2006, 11:46:50 PM
Until today I hadn't heard about the the Little Girl Giant and Sultan's Elephant by theatrical magicians Royal de Luxe in London. Maybe some of our UK members have seen it. It consisted of a huge robotic elephant and a giant little girl puppet that looked to be run by at least 3 or 4 puppeteers.

I found a couple of video clips that are just awesome (http://vista.powerblogs.com/posts/1150308990.shtml).

For me the Little Girl Giant is just fascinating to watch, and for some reason I haven't figured out yet, I got a knot in my chest and almost weepy eyed the first couple times I watched it (weird I know).

At first I wondered if it was because the puppet reminded me of how my life had been pulled in the wrong direction by society's strings for most of my life. But no, because it wasn't a sad emotion, on the contrary it was happy, more lilke when you see children playing. Maybe I have a hidden desire or depression lurking about.   ;D

Anyway I hope you enjoy it somewhat, and maybe I will wake up tomorrow and know why it caused a strong emotional response. Let me know what you think of it.
