Corrie bosses and cast are now ready to welcome her back as transsexual Hayley.
The source said: "Julie is such a popular member of the show that she really has been missed."
In the plot, fans saw Hayley leave to do charity work in Africa following a gruelling storyline when she met the son she fathered as a man.
