From sea to shinning sea, Americans have defined marriage as between man and woman; whether in Alabama or Alaska, it's safe to say transsexual nuptials are politically toxic. Although every candidate quickly came out against gay marriage, Democrats are the most vulnerable to the accusations of being closeted activist. When it comes to the "marriage equality" agenda, the man who calls himself "the most consistent advocate on LGBT issues" is particularly suspect.

These characters are certainly hoping that the November election becomes one for "gay or straight." With $5 gasoline and Iraq and the inability to get a loan for housing unless you have as much money as the lender .... I'd say that the 'gay' thing comes way down on the importance list for most people, regardless where they live.

Its going to be all about the economy and Iraq.  Worries about being 'gay' is a real luxury deal, and we are not in that kind of luxury at the current time.  In the last 7-8 years the U.S. Dollar has lost half (HALF) its value.  Given that, who is sexually doing what to whom with what is kind of silly to worry about.
