i came out to my mom and we told my dad and hes okay. but they dont want me to do anything to mark what im a guy until after highschool. the middle is what im scared of! thats when there are problems. i can walk the walk, but i cant talk the talk. i want to get at least my first name and gender markers changed so that there arent problems at school. its my last year in highschool and i want to tart the transition so that i dont look retarded an have the awkward period while im a freshm in college. my parents cant see that the worst part is the middle. the middle is where people wonder, its where you get mae fun of, its where you get asked awkward questions! i just want to be a boy!

If it's any comfort, the middle for me lasted one weekend. I went off the island on a ferry on Friday, was called Ma'am. On the way back on Sunday, it was Sir. Awkward, yes, but short-lived :)

I hear ya! I want it all done like yesterday, but I know it all takes time. Once I get my T letter I'll be starting the paperwork for the gender marker changes. In the meantime though I'm going to try to get my hysto done while it's covered by insurance.
You could start transition now but not get the legal stuff done until after HS. Have you started seeing a therapist yet? They might be able to talk to your parents about how important transitioning is.

I'm kind of in the middle as well, in my mind and in life. I would definitely prefer the "life" part to be on the "male side," but I really don't identify as male OR female. I just feel like my physical features should be more masculine. But, I want to be referred to as a man, and that's not happening right now. D:
I'm a sophomore in college, and being in the middle is a bit weird, but people in most colleges are rather liberal, so it's not too bad. I honestly get made fun of more by middle-aged women than by people my age (20s).
