Title: What Do You Love About Susan's Place?

What do you love about this place? I love everything but thought I'd mention one thing very special to me:
I've had more conversations with women from and on this site than in all my years. Literally. I've said more to female friends from/on here than I've said to any non-related female in 29 years of my existence.
That is really precious to me.

I love the diversity. And I love the times when a newbie comes into #Chat or TS/CDTalk and says, "I need help." (I spend most of my ~2 hours a day in Chat.)
To be able to provide some kind of support - from information to "tough love' to just listening - is the energy, the reward, that keeps this old gal in the game.
I also enjoy listening to Susan when she gets into her 'simple' explanations about how things work.
Oh... and of course I love and appreciate the 6 figure salary and company car I enjoy as a staffer.
Oh, yeah, life is good here.

As much as I enjoy my life in the real world, there is a part of me that I can never talk about. I can do that here. I'd like to think that I've helped someone here along the way. I've also made some good friends.

i do get the same from my support group here in Phx, Az "TG Harmony", but hey we need all the support and help we can get...right?
I LOVE ALL OF YOU!!!...even when i'm insanely jealous of how young and beautiful all of you are :-*

Just joined today.
So far:
All the pretty girls! There seems to be more girls here than boys, haha.
Also, so far, people seem very knowledgeable and mature here. I think this will finally be the place that provides the support I need.
People seem friendly and I think I'll be able to make friends here. :)

I love most of you, some more than others
I've always liked the 'mostly' supportive environment and the fact we can usually disagree without all the flames I have experienced elsewhere. TBH, there appear to be a lot of very 'grounded' people here. Yes, Kate, even you!!
Perspectives more often trigger my thinking than my reacting.
And, maybe best, I get to get to know men!! On all of the TG boards I have been on before there are like almost 0 men!! I love to discover where and how we are congruent and incongruent with each other and the guys' perspectives are really nice.
Plus the views of CDs, SOs, and Androgynes of all sorts and stripes are remarkably enlightening. You guys have expanded my horizons away from just dealing with other women in various stages of transition.
What can I say, I have people I dearly love at other sites, but you guys just rock!! And are good for me.

this site is the only forum (that i found) with a wide range of TG people not just ts
and all the info in wiki & info in the library
all make up a great site but the best part is that I've found other people like me to help me find myself

I've been browsing a lot, only recently started posting. I feel that I am accepted here, as distinct to feeling like I'm on a alien planet. Sorry if that comes off as a bit condescening ..

Since it's not condescending toward us, in fact, quite the opposite, I imagine it will be fine!!

I love Susan's
the people more
When I came here
I was not sure about myself
I lurked
I read
I learned
I learned I was like many of you
The same experiences
the same insecurities
the same problems
the same dreams
I felt accepted at Susan's
accepted in a way I've never felt
like I'm part of a family
like I have many sisters
older and wiser sisters
that help me so much
and little sisters
that I can help
and a brother or two
I love the fact that I can whine
and cry
and carry on
share my deepest secrets
and act like a totally insecure teenager
with no judgment
no shame
just Amanda
I'm here as myself
for the first time
with no censoring of my thoughts
And I come here
and people agree
sympathize
and even encourage me.
All of you are special to me
you showed me the way
through dark times
through bright sunlight
your still guiding me
through every crashing wave
like lighthouses
guiding me through the storm
And I know
when everything else is lost
when I feel my lowest
when I can't stand one more day
or one hour
or one minute
I can come to Susan's
and someone will have been there
and will have encouraging words
and tell me I will survive
That is why I love Susan's
That is why I love you all.

I wanted to write something similar to what Amanda wrote, but she did it first and she did it better...
So, in short, I love Susan's Place, because I can share myself here, without fear of reject, without fear of abandon and without fear of fear.
I love you all.

Susan's place is my second home and needless to say a place that I dearly cherish. We are a growing group of like minded members who share experiences and ideas in a variety of discussion topics associated with transsexualism and GID. Most importantly, however, Susan's place is known for providing support to all its members by debating issues, answering questions, and sharing valuable information resources in all the different stages of transition. I think that the TG community is very fortunate to count on a website such as Susan's nowadays. I honestly think that if Susan's had existed when I transitioned, my journey would have been less painful and more rewarding.
Also, I have met some of you personally and made great friendships here.. ;D...you know who you are!

WHen I first started questioning who and what I am, I found Susan's.
That was when I really started to believe that I was not alone.
That was when i realized that my journey was not unique. Others have walked this path before me, and there are those who are now only starting this journey.
The people I have met here have guided me on. They have lifted me up when I was at my lowest. They have stood by me as family - and nothing is stronger than family.

I actually do enjoy coming to this place. Everyone is ridiculously nice. They actually try to understand me to some extent. They give me compliments even through I shrug them off or not accept them. All in all, this place is usually a little piece of heaven.
