An enthusiastic crowd estimated at 7,500 turned out for the third annual Trans March held Friday, June 23, which started out in San Francisco's Dolores Park and ended at Civic Center.

The Trans/Gender Variant in Prison Committee, however, took issue with Dufty and District Attorney Kamala Harris being invited to speak. The group passed out fliers critical of the two officeholders, saying they are "contradictory to the needs and voices of those who often go unheard ... "
Dufty said that he and other supervisors are currently working on funding in the city budget for the Transgender Law Center's proposed transgender employment initiative.
