Speaking as a woman trapped in a male body, I'd rather get what I want. :) I definitely don't want what I've got.
In terms of relationships... I already have what I want, and can't imagine not wanting it.
For most other aspects of my life I'm largely apathetic. There isn't really much that I want. That will probably change when the first statement above is fulfilled.

The process of doing is what is important in life. You can not take it with you.

I say get what I want, too.
I think it's very hard to imagine wanting what is anathema to you, even in the abstract.

Wanting what you have is the key to all happiness according to the Zen.

I would rather get what I NEED & what I CAN have. It seems to me that a lot of misery in life is caused by "wanting" impossibilities.

I would have to say "get what I need, want what I have, and be able to part with it all."
