Why Are Christians So Afraid?

"Gay couples are not after your children, your spouse, or your family. They only want the rights and protections of family that everyone else has. They want the right to be with their loved one when they get sick or injured and need to be in the hospital. When their partner dies, their possessions will go to their beloved without fear that other family members will step in and take everything away leaving only memories for the one who has loved them and been with them for so long. Why is that so threatening to Christians? Is that the Christian behavior of Love thy neighbor as thy self??? Frankly, this attitude sickens me and the hurt it causes, what excuse/forgiveness can ever be had for such cruelty?"
