Title: Poetry in list form
Post by: Underground Panther on July 07, 2006, 09:43:24 PM
I sometimes attend a poetry group held in Baltimore called Zeldas Inferno.
We do poetry creative writing exercises.
Anyway one assignment was to make a "list poem". Which is
a selection of words or short phrases about a topic that could be linked together as if it was a poem, but it is a list of words if looked at seperately..

Here was what I wrote..

Not bad :)
I like "Cain".  "The Nature of Government" is good (if cynical) but its no longer a list of words,  add a few more words to each line & it would be a poem.  Nevertheless is good also :)

Poetry has a special power, especially if done right,  when it can be joined with music it is extremely powerful  eg "Jerusalem"

I've never heard of a list poem before. Rather like this post, Panther.
Very creative.
