Previewing the Queer Takes film festival with curator Dean Otto

"XXY (Friday, June 27, 7 p.m.) tells the (fictional but representative)
story of a 15-year-old girl who is an intersex person—that is, one
among the 1.7% of the population born with both male and female
genitalia. The film is sensitive and moving, says Otto. "This film
blew me away!" (http://www.tcdailyplanet.net/article/2008/06/23/previewing-queer-takes-film-festival-curator-dean-otto.html%5B/url)

This was featured at Frameline 32, SF's LGBT film festival. I didn't catch it but tonight I'm going to Ruby Blue at the Castro. The film involves a retired man who falls for his neighbor, unaware of her transsexuality. I'll let you all know. Stars Bob Hoskins.
Edge of Heaven was great. I saw it Tuesday night. It's a lesbian love story but much, much more.

Oh come on, a love story is a love story. There are, after all, only five movie plots just recycled forever.
