"My name is Meghan Stabler and first and foremost I am a software business executive, having worked for major corporations in Europe and in North America for the last 27 years. Before transitioning I enjoyed an amazing career with increasing responsibilities and an unlimited career path. I was married and have a wonderful daughter who just turned 15 this past weekend. Second, I am transgender, and a transsexual, meaning I transitioned genders, in my case from male to female (sometimes referred to as "MTF" or "transwoman"). Simply because I am transgender, employers are able to "fire" me in 38 states; simply because I am transgender, health care providers can deny me coverage."
