A thought occured to me about this.
When you accept a feed from AP, don't you have to sign/accept a provision that the content will not be changed when redistributed on their sight? Isn't that a violation of their EULA?
Also, regardless of Tyson Gay's orientation, isn't he being slandered by this? Shouldn't he sue their website out of existence?
Too bad, no one has let either the AP or Mr Gay in on the gag...

I think you're allowed to make some changes when you include a note that says, "Additional reporting by {someone's name}."

This is from the Privacy and Policies web page regarding the use of AP copyrighted material
I think the AP would be very unhappy if they knew one of their feeds was regularly being modified without attribution or explanation...
BTW: I went scanning through the AFN website looking for the news article and I could not find it. Either it dropped off the current news list or was pulled.
