I ate dinner with a cross-dresser once. It wasn't a big deal, and actually, I should call him transgender. The operations were finished long ago, the legal sex change finalized. He wore jewelry and went by a woman's name; but his daughter, my friend whom we'll call "Sandy," couldn't bear for us to use his new name, so we just called him "Sandy's dad."
