Title: Favorite color
Post by: gennee on July 29, 2008, 07:38:12 PM

I wish to know what your favorite color is. Pink is my femme color. I also like black, purple, lime green, aqua blue, and orange.

I like what looks good on me.
This to a great deal depends upon the season of the year.
In the winter I like striking, dark black.
In the summer I like white, or floral patterns, or some yellows or other colors that enhance the color of summer-tanned skin. This is why I like to try on clothes. It depends on the pattern, the season, and my seasonal skin tone. I always appreciate the opinions of the sales women in the boutiques where I try on and buy my feminine attire. If I walk in as a guy and ask to try on something I usually am given lots of help with fit. If I walk in as a femme and I ask to try on something I usually get more help in the area of complimentary color for my skin tone at the time.

So, to summarize, my favorite colors depend upon the season of the year and my coloration in response to the sun.

I like fall colors such as olive and burnt orange.

I'm the same. Black, and lashings of it.

Think 'The Matrix'... that pretty much sums up my preference. :)

I would love to wear pink, but its so not my color that I have to keep all the pink in my sox.  I do have a light purple, more of a lavender really, peasant shirt and a blue (teal) scoop neck.  More color than that and I think I'm a hippie.

I love black, but I also like deep lavender, neon green, baby blue, white with frills and bright red. I tend to look best in red.

I don't know what my favorite color is in clothing, no idea what color looks good on me BUT BUT BUT, I just thought I'd tell you my favorite color just in general:

Green

Prada green actually, the color of those Prada stores...my bedroom was that color in college and high school. I love that color :)

As far as clothes - black, gray, or navy.

As far as to look at - pastels.

For me, I love to wear black and white. Black and white stripes, checkers, etc. I also like my black suit with my white shirt and white socks. Seriously, I just love the deep contrast.

I like black, grey, green, clay red and brown. Darker green though, not neon.

All go well together, and with white - I wear a lot of white undershirts. One of my favorite outfits is black pants, white undershirt, and a moss green collared button-up. I've got green low-tops in the same shade.

I really like earth tones.

I'd probably say purple.

Purples FTW!  :)

Oddly enough, purple clothing is fairly rare in my wardrobe.

And of course, it doesn't mean I necessarily look *good* in purple.  I tend to look best, I think, in rich greens (either darker, or olive colors, but not pastel or light "mint" greens)

Although I'd say that blue is my favorite color, that is not the same as the colors that I like to wear.  One of the things I like most about wearing women's clothing is the great variety of colors that we get to wear as opposed to the relatively drab palette available in men's attire.  I like wearing red and pink and blue and lavender and aqua and black and white and tan and ......

Burgundy or auburn, yes. But plain old red usually doesn't do it for me. Usually.

Black and white are the best. But since they are not colors, I would have to say the best color is RED. It owns all others.

I look best in purple, hot pink, or spring green, which is somewhat unfortunate since I'm a bio-female, who crossdresses as male. I definitely look more feminine when I wear those colours.
Dressing male I tend to wear black, dark green, red, brown, and grey. So, dark colours.
All gender boundaries set aside, I love any colour, but right now I'm tending towards red and purple (especially light red and mauve or eggplant).

Maybe the most favourite color is purple, but it depends.... ::)  Sometimes other deep shadows like dark green or blue are fabulous and other hand many bright color up to pink can be amazing. It depends very much on combination of other colors, too- you can spoil your favourite color by combining it with another, unsuitable favourite  :embarrassed:.

Cherry red is definitely my favourite colour.

As of late I've taken to wearing aqua-like blues.

And of course pink is lovely but it does't seem to suit my dark features, maybe i'm wrong.

There's a very specific shade of purple that I have only seen replicated a few places. I can usually get it if I have access to a color wheel on a computer. It's absolutely vibrant, it's sort of like a step down from neon. The closes thing to it I can think of is probably Barney as silly as that sounds.

For wearing its anything heather because it works well with my pale tone. When looking through a magazine it's funny how any girl with the same skin tone/eyes/hair is usually wearing grays, black and white. To look at and also wear it's sage and a frosty/cool aqua. I think neon colors look amazing on olive skin, wish I could wear them.
