Title: 8/8/08 Year of the Rat

Today is 8/8/08. Beyond being an interesting date numerically eight is a lucky number in China. And being also the Year of the Rat, the Chinese are opening the Beijing Olympics today.
This date has a certain symetry for me since I am a cat-type person and my other name is Miao Shan. And today is my half-birthday.

Huge day for weddings out here in SF, all sort of Chinese couples are getting married today.
