Title: Translating Identities Conference (TIC) 2008
Post by: fae_reborn on August 20, 2008, 05:42:10 PM
The Translating Identities Conference (TIC) is an annual event put on by Free To Be, the student-run LGBTQA organization at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont.  The conference began in 2003 and is an annual event devoted entirely to trans issues, with keynote speakers, activities, discussions, etc.  This year, TIC will be on Saturday November 8th, 2008 from 9:00am until 6:30pm at the Davis Center on the UVM campus in Burlington.  The event is free and open to the general public.

Two of my friends and I went last year, and this conference is a wonderful opportunity for those in the NE to meet up and discuss issues facing our community in a warm, accepting environment with people who really care about trans issues.  I learned a great deal by attending, and so did my friends.  I also plan on going this year with friends too, so if you're interested in meeting up let me know!

More info about the conference, including registration, can be found here (http://www.uvm.edu/~tic/)
