Wow. We're not "it's." Anyone who has the balls to call me an "it" is in for some serious pain. We are most certainly not confused about our genders.

Well, the "it" the writer was referring to is the three-letter word "she," not Kip, the person. The mother was peeved off at herself for using the wrong pronoun.
