Do you have anyone you could stay with? Couch surf with friends? Are you underage?

If it was kicked out of my house, I wouldn't run straight to a computer. I'd probably go cry at Positive Images. Which is a really long walk so I'd have to take a bus.

I might, simply because all my friends live in my computer. Or, rather, we're all email junkies. :)

Actually I've gotten kicked out before and went to a friends house and I ended up JUST bringing my computer. Internet does not imply being healthy, unrejected and awkwardly invading your friends house.
I mean. I had to work all this stuff out before moving back in cause my friends were kicking me out as well... To "Avoid getting involved."
Heh

If you're under 18, legally they can't kick you out. If you're over 18, well, that changes things. But, it still sucks.

I'm sorry, Jack. It sounds like your family is very mixed up. I almost feel sorry for them. But they have a responsibility to you, and they're not doing right by you.
You need some stability in your life. Can you get in touch with the nearest GLBT center and see what resources they can dig up for you? You can't keep bouncing around like this.
Keep us posted, man.

The ability to have a computer and internet connection are so prevalent today that yes, you can be kicked out and still have access to the internet. I would also think that coming here as one of the first things after being kicked out is not totally unheard of. I would have probably done the same had I been kicked out when I was younger, since this would have been the only place I would have had friends to talk to and for support. Remember that this site is a support site, and to reject someone's story and possibly beat them down even lower seems a bit harsh, especially before you know all the details.
Anyways, Jack, I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. I take it you're in college, right? If so then I would think that they would be open 24 hours like mine was most of the time, and if not then you may be able to talk to them to get help finding a shelter or another place to live. Take care and be strong. Focus on your education and don't let it slip. That will be the safety net you need to get yourself on your own two feet and not have to rely on your parents anymore.

Well Jack, I hope you have some where to stay. Start dialing your friends etc and looking for loans or work to pay for an apartment. Worst comes to worse the school should be able to help find a shelter or something. I have been on the streets it isn't fun but you can pull through.
In terms of other people, WTF? I stayed at friends who had the internet and computers when I was homeless and that was over 5 years ago. Yeah everyone on the internet may be lying and probably is, but how do you know that guy is? Talk about kicking a guy when he is down if you are wrong and if you are right what have you won? Surely most of us have seen Bambie; "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all."
Jack, if I can be of some assistance please PM. Maybe I can think of options you haven't tried?

Dude!
I remember the first time you got kicked out not too long ago. I can't believe they took you back just to kick you out again! (In fact, I didn't know they'd let you come back home).
Sorry about this dude it must really suck....
I kicked myself out of my house. Not the same as your situation, but I pulled together some loans and moved on campus. Can you do the same? If not, can you get to a shelter? Find a safehouse? There's a woman down here who's not an official shelter but she runs a safehouse for LGBTQs.
Keep us posted, and I'm sorry about this.
Gotta run to class, hope to hear from you soon

Okay, jack here is what you do. Type in Zen alcohol stoves in google and read how to make an alcohol stove for less the a dollar. Get a pot from somewhere. Go to the local foodbank and explain your situation. Your school should have that info. Housing I can run with after something I need to do first. Any ways take care.

I really need a job,(and I have no experience), but a guy called me yesterday about an interview! Finally, just when I almost reached a point of suicide. Anyways, it conflicts with my school hours, so Im thinking about dropping out. Im still going to look for a "real" place to live, but even then I would need this job, though. Im uncertain as what to do since this is just an interview, and if I dont get the job and waste all that money trying to get it, but at the same time I can look for a job full time, maybe a couple so I can rent an apartment. It just sucks cause I cant take showers and I have a limited number of clothes

Hey Jack,
I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. I can't offer wise advice, since I've never been homeless before. If at all possible, it would be best if you could stay in school, since education is a very powerful thing to have. Of course, education takes a back seat to basic things like food and shelter.
Take care, and stay safe.

If your school has a gym/fitness center on campus maybe you could take showers there? No one would bug you.
On campus jobs are a lot easier to maintain in school too, they're a lot more flexible and willing to work with you.

Like PolarBear, I've never been homeless so I don't have any pointers. I hope everything will work out for you as soon as possible.
If you can avoid dropping out, avoid it. The education will definitely help. But, I do know from experience of moving out young that sometimes education has to wait.
Stay sane.

Sorry to hear your plight JD :(
We have a local YMCA where I live (one of my mates works there) which take in 16-25 year olds that have been made homeless or kicked out by their parents. They give them their own room, they have a games room and they also give them help and support in finding work or college etc. Do they have places like this in the U.S.?

Damn, wow. If you were anywhere in New England I'd take you in. Look in alternative papers/employment classifieds/the internet to see if you can find youth shelters or whatnot. Do you have friends who'd let you stay in their dorms? If your school's got any sort of GLBT center/club/whatever, someone there will probably have info about GLBT-friendly social services. Anyway, I hope you get back on your feet soon. Don't drop out -- school's going to make a huge difference in your future employment.

I apperciate all the advice, right now Im lookin into GLBT places and jobs in Dallas. But livin in a car isnt so bad...at night time. Cause in Texas, man, it is hot. God, thats the worst part about everything, the heat! And its drivin me mad.
And to think this whole thing started because my little sister was talkin to my dad, and referred to me as Jack! But I never even told her to call me that, she must of heard someone else, but still...my dad is crazy
I think I lost 10 pounds in like 3-4 days, but still school is pretty easy, I hate how they expect you to attend classes and take role, (especially when the class is super easy like calculas. My high school calculas teacher was way better than this college one, and plus I got a 100 in high scool calculas so I hate how I have to freakin attend that boring easy class, among with the others.)
Although I still havent showered, AXE goes a long way, and it keeps me smelling somewhat good. Besides when people ask where I live, I can tell them its a super vasty huge house(referring to the school).
