Hi-I'm Veronica-Roni is my nickname. I'm a MtF person who has been transitioning for over 2 1/2 yrs now. What an incredible journey I have taken! I'm 56 years young, and until I started my transition, was one of the biggest rednecks ever! lol. Not any more. I'm an over the road trucker. I own my own tractor trailer, and travel all 48 states. I used to run Canada, but my truck is too long, and too fast,so I dont go up there. I haul oversized specialized frieght. That is I work windmill projects, and haul a lot of energy related commodities. I very much enjoy the windmills.I go and work a project from start to finish-usually about 4 months. My experinces have been very positive (transitioning). I'm open, and approachable,so I get asked a lot of questions about my transition.I find that most people are curious about what I'm doing,or transgender in general. I hope that they get a better idea of what it is,and why someone would go through this experience. It hasn't been all positive. I've lost some close friends, and family. Some of my friends really surprised me by standing by me. That was very welcome. I cherish each one. I just found this website, and think it's great. I also just found the Papillon Center. That has been very exciting for me. I have an appointment next month with Dr McGinn. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Welcome to Susan's, Veronica.
Nice to have you here. Another OTR driver transitioning, you are maybe the fifth or so I've seen on forums over the past three or four years. Must be something in the diesel? :)
Congratulations!! Especially on talking with Dr. McGinn!! Best of luck.
Please take some time to read The Site Rules (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,2.0.html) and on The Main Page (https://www.susans.org/index.html) you can discover Links, Chat and Wiki for your use as well. You might also want to go to the "Announcements" section and read the two posts "Post Ranks" and "Reputation Rules" to help you with some knowledge about when you can apply your own avatars, PM, and what those lil stars mean beneath all of our names and how to get them for yourself as well!! :)
Enjoy your stay with us and make yourself at home!!

Hi Roni ,
Welcome to our little family. Over 2024 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.
Janet

Yes, Roni, welcome!
And having the courage to transition at 56 ... wow! I'm impressed!
Or maybe it's related to spending 8-10 hours a day on a seat that's vibrating up and down? ;)

Hi Veronica, I just introduced myself here too. I was looking through the recent intros and saw yours. What an interesting life story you must have. I'm looking forward to hearing more about you as you get the chance.
Cheers, Margi :)
